Hi everybody. Today I will be showing you how to make bowls out of chocolate for various desserts. Once you have created the bowls you can fill it with whatever dessert you want but I will leave that up to you to decide. I will only show you how to make the shell of the bowls. Please read through the Instructable before you begin so you can get a better understanding of the process and requirements. Please enjoy!

INGREDIENTS

You only need chocolate for this Instructable. You can decide what chocolate and how many types to use to make it more interesting. For this Instructables I used 2 different chocolates to make it look more creative. You can also use only one type of chocolate. I advise that you use chocolate that dries quickly after being heated.

I used these measurements (6 bowls in total):

- 150g White chocolate

- 150g Milk chocolate

These are some of the other materials you will need:

- Cup

- Balloons

- Spoons

- Cooking spray (makes it easier to remove the chocolate from the balloon)

- Baking paper

First you must inflate the balloon to the desired size of the bowl. I made the balloon the size of my fist so I can get smaller bowls. Then place the balloon on top of the cup.

Then you will have to melt the chocolates in separate bowls. I melted them in the microwave for roughly 3 to 4 minutes. You must stop the microwave every minute to mix the chocolate before putting it on for longer.

Using a spoon, take some of the melted chocolate and lightly pour it over the balloon (image 1). Then using another spoon, take some of the other chocolate and pour it over as well (image 4).

Do this until roughly half the balloon is solidly covered in chocolate. Let some of the chocolate drip down the balloon but don't let too much as it will later crack off.

An alternative is to place the balloon in the bowl with the melted chocolate and then turn it over and leave it to spread (images 8 and 9)

Put the cup with the balloon in the fridge for 3 minutes.

Once the chocolate on the balloon has solidified, slowly take it out from the cup. turn the balloon upside down and slightly dip it in the melted chocolate (image 1). Place the balloon on a flat surface on top of the baking paper and make sure it is at level (image 2). Leave it for a few minutes to solidify then carefully remove it from the baking paper.

Now you must remove the balloon form the chocolate. Slowly and carefully use your nails or a butter knife to loosen the chocolate form the balloon (images 1 and 2). Some of the long strips of chocolate may break during this process but its fine. You can re-apply them later.

Now using a needle or scissors, make a small incision in the balloon so that it slowly deflates. You don't want to deflate the balloon too quickly because it will crack the chocolate.

REMOVING AND REPAIRING

Once the balloon has deflated, slowly peel it out of the chocolate mold.

Once the balloon is removed, you can re-apply the broken pieces using the melted chocolate. Dip the broken pieces in the melted chocolate and hold it in the desired position on the mold until it dries (image 1).

The bowl is now finished. You can fill the bowl with anything as long as it wont melt the mold.

Thank you very much for checking out my Instructable and a very big thanks to my mother for helping with the production process. I hope it was easy and clear to understand. Please leave comments below and ask any questions you may have.
