Chicken and Beef Sausage Alfredo!

Today I made a homemade pasta dish. My kids love when I make chicken Alfredo with beef sausage and a little bit of shrimp. When I make this dish, my kids, friends, and family are always requesting large amounts, lol. And when I don’t make a large portion, they get upset and want a a huge dish to themselves. Cooking certain dishes are a passion to me, and they are always requested at family events.
Supplies

- 1 Pack of Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
- 1 Container of Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 Beef Hillshire Link
- 2 Tsp of Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp of Garlic Powder
- 2 Tbsp of Onion Powder
- 3 Tbsp of Paprika
- Parmesan Cheese
- 2 Tbsp of Sour Cream
- 2 Tbsp of Minced Garlic
- 1 Box of Penne Noodles
- 2 Tbsp of Italian Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp of Unsalted Butter and Garlic Butter
- 1 Pot of Water
Boiling the Noodles

To begin, I always rinse my pasta with cold water. I usually rinse it twice. Then I fill a pot with water and one chicken bouillon cube and bring that to a boil with the box of penne noodles. Cooking the pasta for 10-12 minutes on high will bring it to an al dente texture.
Preparing the Chicken

I prepare my chicken by washing and removing any fat left from the chicken breast. Then I start pan searing it in a pan with olive oil. I season my chicken with onion powder, garlic powder, Mrs. Dash all seasoning blend, parsley flakes, and blackened seasoning. I do not cut my chicken until it is completely cooked.

Making the Alfredo Sauce

Sauté 1/2 of a sliced onion, sauté the minced garlic and add the 2 tbsp of butter. Cook for at least 30 seconds before adding heavy whipping cream. BE SURE NOT TO BURN THE GARLIC. Pour in 1 and 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream, stirring continuously so that it does not stick to the skillet. Let simmer 3-4 minutes so that it will slightly thicken. Stir in 2 cups of Parmesan, whisk/stir until it is smooth. After it thicken you want to add all seasonings

Pan Sear the Sausage
Get a clean cutting board and harp knife. Cut the sausage into thin long slices. Pour olive oil into the skillet, add a little onion powder and garlic powder, I also add a little lemon juice for a little extra kick in the flavor. Cook these for 3-4 minutes and set them aside in a bowl.
Assemble and Serve

Combine the pasta noodles with the freshly made pasta sauce. Toss the pasta in sauce to thoroughly coat the noodles. Add extra heavy whipping cream and pasta water if it seems too thick. I like my pasta creamy but not too thick, like creamy that when you reheat it, it doesn’t seem dry. Now you add the chicken and beef sausage and stir it in. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan and parsley flakes.
SERVE IMMEDIATELY!
Tips for the Best!
Use fresh Parmesan and fresh mozzarella. Never overcook the sauce as it thickens quickly. Remove it from heat once it is at desired consistency!
