Chicken lollipop in a healthy way

Introduction: Chicken lollipop is an hors d'oeuvre popular in Indian Chinese cuisine. Chicken lollipop is, essentially a frenched chicken winglet, where in the meat is cut loose from the bone end and pushed down creating a lollipop appearance. It is usually served hot with Tomato sauce, Chili Sauce or Szechuan sauce.

Marination

1 (or 2) tbsp of curd,2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste,1 egg1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder,1/2 tbsp of red chili powder (or Kashmiri lal mirch),1/2 tbsp of salt (up to 1 depending on your taste),Add chicken pieces into marinade.

Keep it for 30-35 minutes.

Once marinated add 2 tbsp of corn flour.

Mix it well.

Cooking

  • Now add 1-2 tbsp of oil in a non stick pan.
  • Once heated add chicken pieces.
  • Cook on high flame for 2 minutes.
  • Turn the flame to low.
  • Cover the pan. Cook further for 5-6 minutes.
  • Lift the cover.
  • Check if pieces are tender then turn off the heat.
  • Take extra oil with the help of tissue paper.
  • Transfer it to the serving plate.
  • Enjoy this dish with Tomato Sauce, Chili Sauce or Schezwan sauce.
