Chicken Cups!

20121026_192417.jpg
This is my first Instructable. I first learned of this recipe from a friend of mine, back when we both were still in the Army.  These are especially good when it is a chilly or cold day outside. :)

Gather the Ingredients!!!

First, you want to gather your ingredients/utensils... and you may use different proportions, just experiment a little bit.

Ingredients:
1 Can of Cream of Chicken Soup -or- Cream of Mushroom Soup
Secret blend of herbs/spices (your choice of what you want)
1 can of biscuits
Cheese
Diced Chicken (Not Pictured Here)
1/3 - 1 Can of water (from the Soup Can)

Utensils:
1 Mixing Bowl
1 Muffin Pan
Spoon (Not Pictured Here)

First you want to dice your (cooked) chicken (Skip this step if you have pre-diced, canned chicken).

Second, you put the Cream of Chicken (or Mushroom) Soup into a bowl and
add the 1/3 to 1 can of water. (To soup things up a bit) and stir with a fork until well blended.

Third,  add the diced chicken, and herbs/spices.

Fourth, put the ingredients into the fridge for 15 Min.

While you are waiting those long 15 min, you can...... (next page)

Prepare the Cups!!!

.... You can set the timer to 15 min,

... Set the Oven to 350˚,

... and Prepare the "Cups"
-For these next steps, I am sorry, I forgot to take pictures of so I will elaborate the best I can.

First, if you do not have a non-stick muffin pan, you must grease you pan. (The cups will stick otherwise)

Second, open your can, roll, or tube of biscuits .
-Or if you make your own homemade dough, then cut the dough into biscuit like shapes.

Third, squash the biscuit dough with your hand or rolling pin.

Fourth, pull/spread at the biscuit dough until the center is somewhat thinner than the outside (kind of like a pizza, thinner crust in the middle, thicker crust on the outside)

Finally, form the dough into the muffin cups, (this will take a little bit of delicacy)

After the 15 min of waiting, take your Cream of Chicken/Mushroom Soup/ Diced chicken mixture out of the fridge, and spoon some of it into the dough cups, until you have filled them almost to the top.

Then add cheese!

And....

The Broiler...

....Then pop them into the oven for 10-15 minutes.

Towards the end of your 10-15 minutes, I would advise that you turn on the broiler in your oven to get that nice golden brown flakiness to the outer portion of your biscuits. Its a good thing. (In my best Martha Stewart voice)   :)

These... Are.. DELICIOUS!!!

After 10-15 min in the oven pull them out, and let them cool off a bit.
Then Enjoy!

Side Notes:

I have more Ideas about different uses for this.. Instead of Chicken/Cream of Chicken Soup, You could use:

Pizza/pasta sauce and Pepperoni/sausage to make Pizza cups, -or-

An egg w/ or w/out cheese for breakfast cups

The possibilities are endless.. well, ok, almost, but you get the gist!

*Sorry about some pictures being sideways... I couldn't get them to rotate, so just tilt your head to the left. :)*
