In this recipe, I wish to show you how you can make your own Chicken Alfredo dish to share with your friends and/or families.
Supplies
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 c. whole milk
1 1/2 c. low-sodium chicken broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz. fettuccine
1/2 c. heavy cream
1 c. freshly grated Parmesan
1.5 cups of peas
Freshly chopped parsley, for garnish
Cooking the Chicken
First you need to gather all of the ingredients needed to make the Chicken Alfredo dish. Next you need to pour oil into a large skillet while it is over medium-high heat. add the chicken and season it with salt and pepper shortly afterwards. cook until it is golden and fully cooked after 8 minutes per side. Remove the chicken and let them settle for 10 minutes, then slice.
Cooking the Alfredo and Noodles
While the chicken is resting, add the milk, broth and garlic to the skillet. Season it with salt and pepper and bring the skillet to a simmer. Add the fettuccine when the milky broth starts bubbling, making sure to stir frequently for 3 minutes to ensure the noodles don't stick to the bottom. let the noodles cook for about 8 minutes until the noodles are al dente.
Add the Cream and Peas
After the noodles are almost done, add in the heavy cream, parmesan and peas to the pasta and stir until the sauce thickens. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the chicken until the chicken, peas, alfredo and noodles are mixed together. Feel free to add parsley for some added flavor.
