Chicken Adobo #HMS2018
Today, we will be making chicken adobo, a popular dish in the Philippines. It has a pretty simple recipe and it is easy to recreate. For this, you'll need quite a handful of ingredients, including:
- 3 pounds of chicken
- half a clove of garlic
- half of a chopped onion
- half a cup of soy sauce
- half a cup of vinegar
- a cup of water
- tablespoon of vegetable oil
- half a tablespoon of black pepper
- measuring teaspoon
- cooking pot and stove
Peel and mince your garlic. After, peel and chop your onions.
Add the garlic to your pot and wait for it to turn a brown-like color. That should only take like half a minute. After, add in your onions.
Put the pot on medium heat and add your tablespoon of vegetable oil to it after.
Add in your chicken and wait for it to brown like your garlic.
While you're waiting for your chicken to cook, grab your bowl. Add in your soy sauce, water, and vinegar first. Then, add in your black pepper. This will be your mixture/sauce.
Now that your chicken has 'browned,' you add in the mixture you made.
Let your chicken adobo boil for about 30 minutes and then, you're done.
Final Product
You can serve it to 4-5 people and enjoy.
