Cheesy Egg Sandwich
This is a super cheesy egg sandwich. It is quite easy to make, only has 3 steps, and is so delicious with orange juice and granola. Fun fact: the egg sandwich originated in London in the 19th century. It was invented by street vendors who wanted to earn some money.
Supplies
Supplies:
- Eggs
- Grated cheese
- Sourdough bread (or standard whole wheat)
- Cream cheese
- Turkey
- Salt & pepper (optional)
- Oil
Tools:
- Spatula
- An immersion blender ( You don't need this, but I like my eggs to be fluffy. A fork also works well.)
- Cast iron pan (I used an electric one. You can use one that you have on hand. )
- Medium bowl
- Butter knife
- Plate
Electronics:
- Toaster
- Stove
Toasting
As always, begin by washing your hands, and then get started by oiling your pan and putting it on low. Place the bread on your pan and wait until it gets to a crispy brown then place it on a plate and set aside.
Eggs
WARNING: The items in the next step could be harmful so use caution when handling them.
Start by cracking 3 eggs in a medium bowl and whisk until fully blended. Pour the egg mixture into your hot, oiled pan and scramble until fully cooked then gradually add some cheese mix until cheese is fully melted. Put the eggs on the plate next to the toast and sprinkle with salt and pepper
Assemble and Finish
Make sure the toast is fully cooled then put a layer of cream cheese on both pieces. Put three pieces of turkey on one of the pieces. Place the eggs on the toast and put them together to make a sandwich. Grab your pan and heat up for a little bit until everything is creamy. The sandwich is ready. You've done a good job.
