First take a trip to your local store and pick out your favorite cheese, crackers, fruits, and anything festive that would add to the board.

Once your home prep all your supplies and lay out everything you've selected in front of your board and begin.

Start by cutting the cheese selected. Try to choose different cheeses such as soft cheeses like brie, sharp cheeses like cheddar or gouda, and sweet cheeses such as this cranberry goat cheese. Place the cheese on the board and use this as the base for the rest of the ingredients.

Next, lay out the crackers. Try to use the crackers as almost like a fence that will later separate other ingredients that you don't want touching.

Now cut the fruit and lay it next to the cheese it best corresponds too. If you're making this for an event it's nice to put ingredients next to what they best pair with, for example put the grapes next to the brie and the apples next to the cheddar because those flavor profiles are compatible.

Now take the pepperoni and you can either choose to arrange it nicely or if you want to take the extra step and make a pepperoni rose you can

  • For the pepperoni rose you will need a glass with a small rim and some pepperoni, begin layering the pepperoni along the rim of the glass and repeat this step till you've formed a rose. Then gently remove the rose from the rim of the glass and place on your board.

Now take a seasonal ingredient, this can be Christmas colored chocolate pretzels, candy corn, easter egg candy, edible flowers, or anything you wish to add as a fun addition to the board. This is what really makes the board and pulls the whole thing together.

Serve and enjoy!!
