This is a checker board pattern wallet that I decided to make one day when I was bored its not hard to make, but it's not easy. It took me about an hour to make but i've made a couple so its easier to make. Enjoy!

Please comment if you like it or don't like it or have some ideas that could make it better! :)

First lay down 2 strips of duct tape 10 in. long and as close together as possible without overlapping. Next cut those strips in half so you have 4 thin strips.

Now take your second color and lay down a long strip that you can cut up into 5 41/2 in long strips. Now take that strip and cut it in half so you have 10 thin strips... you may discard the 10th strip because we only use 9.

Now weave them in and out as shown in the pictures and continue to do that with all 9 strips until it looks like the main picture below. Cut off any excess on the top but just clean up on the bottom you will need those tabs later.

Carefully peel it off of the cutting surface at an angle as shown in the pictures.

Now cut a strip of paper the exact size of the woven pattern that doesnt cover the tabs. Now take your 3rd color and cut 2 strips 10 in. and cover the paper.

Making Money Pocket

Take your first color and lay down 2 strips of it (10 in.) only overlapping a little. Now peel up and take 3rd color and put on sticky side. Now with those tabs that weren't covered earlier on, attach the piece we just made to the rest of the wallet by those tabs.

Now you can put money in it but you probably want some extra features in there like ID card holder. card holders and a coin pocket.

Card Holders

For this part you may want to use a card for an example size.

First take 2 strips of duct tape (about 3 creditcards width with an inch of surplus) and overlap them a little again, cut it down to alittle shorter than the card. Now on the far right bottom hand corner make a small cut out of it (this is so one is higher). Then fold it so you have 3 card slots and tape the edges and tape it to where you want on the wallet. If its too big then you can cut off excess as needed.

ID Card Holder

Take your sheet protector and make a rectangle a little bigger than a card. Then basically tape it down to where you want.

Coin Pocket

This is the last real step to make your wallet complete! Just make a small strip a little shorter than the wallet is and tape that down! Now you are done with the wallet!

Put Under Weight

Just put it under something heavy and leave it there over night or put it in your back pocket and sit!
