Cheap -neon Style- Sign

-letrero tipo neon de bajo costo-
lo que se utilizará:
-una caja para fruta o similar.
-focos/lamparas (de preferencia LED) si no, cualquier foco que no genere mucho calor funciona bien.
-cable para conectar los focos a la corriente electrica (el tipo de cable depende de los focos/lamparas).
-papel de aluminio
-foamboard negro o similar (cartón, madera, etc...)
-papel albanene blanco
-papel celofán del color requerido
-cinta de aislar
-adhesivo multiusos tipo UHU
-cadena pequeña o alambre

what we need:
-a fruit box or something similar
-lamps/bulbs (preferably LED) if not, any bulb that does not generate too much heat works fine.
-wire to conetct the lamps (the cable type depends on the lamps)
-aluminium foil
-black foamboard or similar (cardboard, wood, etc..)
-white vellum paper
-colored cellophane paper
-black tape
-all purpose adhesive like UHU
-small chain or wire

corta la caja a la medida necesaria para poder instalar las lamparas (mas o menos 20cm de profundidad)

measure and cut the box so the lamps can be instaled inside (20cm deep more or less)

instala las lamparas y focos dentro de la caja y agrega el papel aluminio y/o hojas blancas para reflejar mas luz.

install the lamps and bulbs inside the box, add the aluminium foil and/or white paper inside to reflect more light.

pegar el papel albanene a un marco de foamboard para hacer una pantalla.

glue the vellum paper to a cardboard frame to make a screen.

imprime el diseño que quieras, pegalo sobre el foamboard y recortalo, despues pegalo sobre la pantalla de albanene

print any design you want, tape it on the foamboard and cut it, then glue it over the vellum screen.

recorta el papel celofán de acuerdo a tu diseño y pegalo ATRAS de la pantalla de albanene. puede ser que necesites dos capas de papel. conectalo y dejalo algunas horas para asegurarte de su funcionamiento adecuado.

cut the cellophane paper in the shape of your design and tape it and glue it on the BACK of the vellum screen, you might need two layers of paper. connect it and leave it a few hours to ensure adequate functioning.

ahora cubre todo con foamboard negro. Yo dejé un orificio arriba para uno de los focos que generaba mas calor, y un par de orificios pequeños para ponerle la cadena.

now cover all with black foamboard. I left a hole on the top, for one of the bulbs that was generating more heat, and two smaller holes to hold the chain.

yo utilicé material reciclado, lamparas viejas que ya tenia al igual que el foamboard, solo gasté en el papel, en total un aproximado de $30 pesos Mexicanos. el letrero luce muy bien en el dia y aun mejor en la noche.
