This project is a DIY alternative to the otherwise expensive Govee floor lamps available on amazon. All in for two lights is about $40. Some of the Govee lights can run upwards of $150, this is a low cost alternative that works perfectly with Govee's immersive platform Dreamview. Comment below for any questions and hope to see you build this for your room!

This project uses 3/4" Outside trim you can get at most big box stores, you will need to get a 8' section costs around ~$8 at the time of this post.

Then Cut this down to 48" to fit the aluminum diffusers you will need three diffuser sections to fit the trim piece.

This trim can easily be cut with a handsaw or pull saw, as well as a miter saw.

Note: Be sure to clean up the edges as the factory edge is not great

Using the included adhesive from the diffuser channel attach at even spacing about 6" apart on both inside corners of the trim and then mount the aluminum channels, if you cut the trim to 48" the channels should fit perfectly (all 3)

Next mounting the LEDS, you can simply attach the strip to the diffuser channel or take it a step further and carefully fold the leds so they are half the original distance away for extra led shine!

I then turned my attention to the store bought PVC cap, I made two holes one with a 5/32 bit (Centered on PVC) and a 7/32 bit for the wire just slightly offset about 1/4-1/2"

Next I attached the Base using a #8 machine screw about 1-1/2" long but any longer size works. It simply screws into the small triangle portion of the diffuser channel pictured. It should fit snug and be fairly ridgid!

Then after not pictured wire nut the wires back together and I organized the cordage

I also notched out a small part for the wire to escape the base from using the same 7/32" drill bit and a utility knife to cut the bottom out.

Finally I mounted the white diffuser to the aluminium channel and that's it, thank you for following along.
