I put the cheap computer in the internet access workshop. Boards with an Intel Atom processor tend to be really cheap and will serve our purpose well. I bought an mini ITX format board intel D525MW which has a PCI Express mini card slot and DDR3 memory support. After assembling the components, I closed the unit in a box glued from plates of transparent plastic.

Supplies

Intel® Desktop Board D525MW, dupont connector plug with cable, power DC 12V 24Pin ATX switch PSU, 12V/4A power supply adapter, SSD hard drive, wifi card mini PCI + cable antenne set, 2x2GB notebook DDR3 RAM, 50mm FAN, LED diodes, connecting cables, ABS or PVC transparent sheet plastic A4 format.

The Intel D525MW motherboard can be purchased very cheaply. I bought it for 4 dollars. This board is not a condition, I also have other mini ITX motherboards at home, such as the PEGATRON IPX7A-ION board, which has an HDMI output, or the Gigabyte GA-D525TUD. However, the D525MW has an integrated mini PCIe port into which you can install a wifi card, SSD, USB ports and much more. I put a WIFI card in it. It is necessary to mount a heatsink on the main chipset.

For a wireless network, you can use a card in the mini PCIE slot or a card in the PCI slot.

The motherboard includes slots for DDR3 notebook memory to save space. it is possible to use a sata SSD disk or a variant for a mini PCIe slot as a hard disk. Of course, it is also possible to use a classic disc HDD, but it is slow for our use. I used a cheap SSD disk from Aliexpress with a capacity of 32 GB, which I removed from the case and mounted directly on the board in the mounting holes.

Switches and LEDs.

I placed the start and reset switches on the panel and connected the connector cables directly to the system board pins. I connected the HDD and wireless signaling LEDs directly to the board. You can also route cables to the panel.

Power Supply

Due to the very low power consumption of the set, it is advisable to power the computer with a small source integrated directly into the ATX connector. When buying, look for "Pico PSU" and a 12V/4A adapter is used for the total power supply.

The drawing shows the dimensions of the individual parts. The material of the case is 2 mm thick transparent ABS or PVC plastic. Two side parts are glued to the bottom, which overlap it. Indicated in the second drawing. Then we stick the front and back panel inside, watch the photos. Cut out the squares with holes for gluing the M3 nut from the remnants of the plastic. These are then glued to the upper corners of the glued cabineth. To fasten the sheet metal panel, a tape with an edge of 2x2 mm must be glued to the bottom. Marked red in the photo. A suitable glue is in the photo. I'm not good at gluing, my product is a bit ugly but you will definitely do better :)

Complete Assembly

We insert the sheet metal front and also the base plate into the glued cabinet. Draw the mounting holes of the base plate on the bottom and then drill. Two nuts are required for fastening. One serves as a spacer and the other for mounting directly to the cabinet. Details in the photo. Then the fan is fixed and the wiring is connected.

Final Activity

Finally, the top plate is placed on the cabinet, the position of the nut holes is drawn and drilled. The computer is ready, I wish you good luck in the construction. As you can see, all you need is a VGA cable and an AC adapter to function. The keyboard and mouse are wireless. In time, I plan to build an amplifier with small speakers and output a PCI slot using an angled adapter from the cabinet. Suitable operating system is Windows 7 or Ubuntu.
