Chashushuli

Chashushuli is a fragrant Georgian-style beef stew with vegetables, spices, and fresh herbs. The secret is in marinating the beef beforehand — it makes the meat tender and rich in flavor. Easy to make, delicious to eat!

Supplies

Marinade for the beef (700 g):

– 1.5 tsp dry adjika

– 1.5 tsp ground coriander

– 1.5 tsp salt

– 0.5 tsp red chili powder

– 70 ml sunflower oil


Ingredients for cooking:

– marinated beef

– 2 bell peppers (pan-fried separately)

– 2–3 onions

– 400 g tomatoes in tomato sauce (or plain sauce)

– 1.5 tsp khmeli suneli

– 1.5 tsp ground coriander

– salt to taste

– 3 garlic cloves

– dried basil and cilantro

Marinate the beef for 3 hours. Sauté the beef, add onions, spices, and tomato sauce.

Add the fried peppers. Cover and simmer on low heat for 20–30 minutes.
