ChargeLight: a 2-in-1 Survival Tin

Hey guys, today I'm going to teach you how to make an emergency backup charger for your phone and a useful flashlight all in one Altoids tin. Have fun making!
Materials
To make this project you will need these materials:
An Altoids tin
A small flashlight
A hot glue gun
A soldering iron
Solder
Wire
Electrical tape
A Dremel rotary tool
Two 9 volt batteries (I used Duracell)
A Leatherman Multitool
A Swiss Army Knife
Prying Open the Car Phone Charger

Using your Leatherman try prying around until you are able to pull off one of the sides of the charger, then you will easily be able to snap off the top and pull out the circuit board on the inside. You will need the circuit board later, but you will not need its shell.

Using the Leatherman you can pick at the battery covering until it comes off. Now you can just strip off the covering and cut off the pieces of metal holding the black top part. The covering and the blue cells will not be needed.

Cut off the metal crescents and then solder the wire to one of the wires on the circuit board. Solder this wire to the metal part under the circular piece on the battery top. Solder the spring to the metal part under the hexagonal piece. This allows you to attach and take off other batteries if the one you are using to charge a device dies.

Make the openings by outlining the charger and flashlight and then cut out the areas using the Dremel. Be sure to put a hole in the back of the tin for the flashlight button to stick out of.

Before you glue everything down you will have to coat the inside of the tin with electrical tape to keep the charger from short-circuiting. Try not to cover up the holes that you cut earlier. Once you get the charger in place you can just hold it down while you cover it in hot glue. After that you can put the flashlight in place and glue it down. Make sure you have enough room to put in battery and that everything is glued down securely.
