Charcoal Grey & Purple Veriegate Basket
This is a Handmade Crocheted Basket Bag that I designed!
Charcoal Gray & Purple Varigated Basket
Supplies:
Yarn. 3 Skeins of # 6 Super Bulky Yarn. 80 yards/74m/12 oz/395g.
Crochet Hook: Size N or P.
Optional: Charms or Ribbons for Basket enhancement.
Difficulty Level: Easy
Project Time: 2.5 hours.
Instructions.
Base of Basket (bottom)
Round 1. Chain 4, slip stitch first loop with last loop to close the circle.
Round 2. Place 8 Double Crochet into the center of the circle. Chain one.
Round 3. Place 2 Double Crochet into each of the 8 Double Crochet. Equaling with 16 Double Crochet. Chain one.
Steps for Increasing the next four Rounds.
Round 4. *Place 2 DCs into the first space, 1 DC into next space (2,1,2,1,2,1, ...). Repeat from * until end of Round. Chain one.
Round 5. *Place 2 DCs into the first space, 1 DC into next 2 spaces (2,1,1,2,1,1,2,1,1, ...). Repeat from * until end of Round. Chain one.
Round 6. *Place 2 DCs into the first space, 1 DC into next 3 spaces (2,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,2,1,1,1 ...). Repeat from * until end of Round. Chain one.
Round 7. * Place 2 DCs into the first space, 1 DC into next 4 spaces (2,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,...). Repeat from * until end of Round. Chain one.
Base of Basket is complete.
Side of Basket (may select a second color of choice). Rounds 8-16.
Round 8. Place 1 DC into each space. Chain one.
Round 9 a 16. Repeat Round.
Basket Handle
Cut three strands 40" inches in length of Yarn. Place all three strands together and tie a knot. Braid the three strands together.
Weave the braided rope into the Basket from bottom and up left side, Repeat on right side. The center of is the middle of Basket Handle.
