Chain Curtain
My favorite feature of my house is the open concept, it feels so big and bright. But I wanted to divide the space between the living room and the family room, without blocking the view because I needed to watch my grandchildren while I'm cooking and they're playing.
This curtain works perfectly, it's a subtle way to divide the spaces and it's a pretty decor element. Buying something similar is expensive, I'm going to show you how with a low budget and few materials you can make one.
Gather Your Materials
White paint
Paint brush
Framing lumber
Pencil
Tape measure or ruler
Staple gun
Cable staples round crown staples
Chain
Pliers
Paint
Paint the framing lumber white.
Depending on your paint it may need several coats.
Let it dry completely.
Mark
With the help of the tape measure and pencil, make marks where you want to put the chain.
Mine are every inch.
Staple
Put the staples where you draw the marks.
Attach the Chain
Cut the chain the length you want the curtain to be.
Open the last link and attach it to a staple.
Repeat this step until all the staples have a chain.
Enjoy!
Finally attach the lumber to the ceiling.
It looks really good, it´s perfect for that space.
