This is a simple homemade chocolate recipe. The chai spice gives an extra spicy twist to the chocolate. The blend of two is amazing. This chocolate recipe is a great gift recipe.

The spices in this recipe take this chocolate to another level.

This is the basic recipe. You can add mint or orange extract to taste, a teaspoon of brewed espresso, or some chopped almonds for a specialty taste.

I used these silicone apple molds to make bite size chocolates.

Grind cardamom, fennel seeds and cloves in a coffee grinder. I used a stone grinder to crush the spice. While crushing make sure you remove the skip of the cardamom.

Sieve

With the help of a sieve get the powdered spice. The skin can be discarded.

Double Boiling

When butter is completely melted, remove from heat and add cocoa powder, honey, salt, vanilla and other flavor extracts. To this mix add the chai spices too. Mix them well. Take care that the spoon you use has no water droplet.

Mold

Pour the chocolate in to molds. I used these silicone apple molds.

You can pour it over a baking sheet too and leave it in room temperature for several hours to harden. When hardened remove from molds.

If you want to harden quickly, place the mold in the fridge. It can be kept refrigerated for few days.

I am sure you will love the combination of spices and chocolate.
