Buy a mal in a hobby store.

I have chosen for hexagonal figure.

Preparing the Hexagonal Figure Out of Clay

Press the clay in the mal an let it dry for a little while.

Push the clay out of the mal and put them on a tray for further drying.

All the hexagonal clay figure have to go in the oven.

Take care that they don't touch when baking.

Choose a Picture of Your Country.

Print Your Country Poster.

Print your countryposter an glue the different papers together.

Transfer this picture on wood.

Jigsaw the wood, so you become a wooden version of your countrymap.

Glue the baked hexagonal ceramic tile on to the wood. Pattex, multiglue, TEC 7...

Finishing...

Glue the mosaic.

The tiles have after baking different colours/hue.

This is a natural proces in ceramic. One tile I painted gold and this tile will represent my hometown in Belgium.

Next time i'm planning to use illuminating paint so my hometown will be highlighted

Sort the tiles so you become a beautiful 'ensemble'.
