Cemetery Spooks DIY Delights
We made marshmallow ghosts and Witch cake pops. Part of the reason we made these Witches and Ghouls was because it's SPOOOOOKYYY season.

- One medium-sized bowl.
- 1 piece of foam (Size of your choice)
Making the Cake
First, we preheated the oven to 350(preheat to 325 if you are using a nonstick pan). Then grease the bottoms and sides of your pan with 1/6 piece of butter. , we opened our cake mix and poured it into a medium bowl. We then cracked our 3 eggs into the bowl and mixed them. After that, we added 1/4 cup of oil and mixed vigorously. Be sure to mix until the batter is as smooth as possible and has no air pockets. You want to get the best cake possible. Once that is done, pour your mixture into the pan you greased and place it in the oven for 35-40 minutes. We checked our cake every 20 minutes.
Preparing the Chocolate
While your cake is baking, let's get the chocolate ready. Grab your pan and dump 1/4 of your bag of white chocolate into the pan. Put the pan on the stove and set it to low so that you can do other things and the chocolate won't harden. Then once it has started to melt slightly add your half cup of milk. Stir until you get a liquid consistency with no lumps. Leave it on low.
Dip the Marshmallows
Take your marshmallows and put them on a cake pop stick. Now dip it into the chocolate. Use a spoon to coat the marshmallows if needed. Use parchment paper or a baking sheet to lay the marshmallows down. Let the chocolate harden. Once hardened take a little bit of chocolate and put it on the eye candy. Stick it onto the marshmallows.
Rolling Fondant
Now we will prepare the fondant. Open your fondant and cut it into fourths. Take one of those fourths and start to knead and play with it. Once it is soft but not too sticky, take your fondant and divide it into 5 pieces. We will now mix in the dyes.
Coloring the Fondant
Take 4 of the 5 pieces you made and add a base color to each one (one is red, another is blue, etc...). Then take your 5th one and add red and blue. This will make purple. Now we have colors of fondant to make decorations. Then take another 1/4 of the fondant and color it green. The green will be used for the skin of the witches.
Crumbling the Cake
Take your cake and use a fork or your hands to crumble the cake. Once mostly crumbled take some frosting and put it in the cake. Mix till you're able to make a ball that can stay together,
Forming Cake Pops
Start forming the cake into small-medium balls. Stick them on the cake pop sticks. Put them in the freezer for 2 hours (if still flimsy leave them in the freezer).
Put Fondant on Cake
Once it has been frozen for 2 hours, take out your cake pops. We will now roll out your green fondant. Then once it is flat and even in all areas, place it over the cake pop. Cut off the excess and push the edges towards the stick to further solidify the stick to the cake. Now we must decorate and create the decorations for the cake pops.
Decor
Now we need to decorate our pops! Take one of your colored pieces of fondant and shape it into a Hershey's Kiss shape. Then you will want to take a piece of your yellow fondant and roll it into a thin line like a snake. Then take your line and place it around the middle of the kiss shape. Then press down the line edges of the kiss shapes to give the hate more shape. Next, let's create our graves. Take a small bowl and mix all the colors mainly adding extra green. This should give you a gray color when mixed with fondant. Then shape them into rectangles with slight arcs and the tops. Next, take a leftover cake pop some stick, and dip it in a bit of red food coloring to make blood. Write the words rip shakily and there you have fondant graves. Additionally, if you choose add some red and green to the outside of the graves for a bone-chilling effect.
Frost
Dye your frosting any color you want the hair of the witch to be. To get darker colors use more dyes. Take a fork or a piping bag and drizzle frosting on the back of the witch's head( cake pop).
Display
Take a piece of foam any size you want. Cover it in food dye or paint. Then stick your cake pops and marshmallows in the foam. Then put the graves in on the foam. Now you have finished your cakepops.
