A cement flower pot made up from old towels.

-What you need:

-Cement mix (I used a stepping stone mix from a craft store). One box to make 1-3 depending on size of pot you are making.

-Bucket to mix the cement in
-Spoon to mix the cement

-A container with flat bottom to drape towel over

-Old towel

-Gloves so you don't get cement on you

-Any color of spray paint

Step 1

Follow the directions on the cement mixture to make the cement. You will have to add more water so the cement is a little runny like mud.

Step 2

Take the towel and put it in the cement mixture. Make sure all parts of the towel is covered with the cement. Then lightly ring out the towel to get ride of excess water.

Step 3

Take the towel and drape it over the container you choose to use. I used an old Clorox container.

You may need to add extra cement to cover areas you may have missed. Once you have done this flip the towel over to make sure the over side is covered completely as well. Once you have determined the whole towel is covered start to smooth out the towel so there is no excess cement and it fits snug to the container.

Step 4

Allow to dry for 24-48 hours

Step 5

You can leave the pot as is and have a cement color or choose to spray paint it. I choose to spray paint mine a light blue color for spring.

Step 6

I left the Clorox container in the final project.
