Cellphone Holder

cellphone holder final image.jpg

For my home design project, I decided to create a phone holder. Instead of putting your phone on top of something to hold it up, this can do it for you. This makes it easier for you to watch videos, call people, without having to hold it 24/7, plus you could put it on a tripod for camera usage as well.

Supplies

  • Paper
  • Pencils
  • 3D Printer
  • Support Cleaning Apparatus
  • Cellphone

Draw out your idea, here's mine, the most basic but also the most durable.

Start your base, height and width of the base should be your desired choice so it can accommodate the weight of your phone.

In the back center of the baseplate, make a large piece stretching from the bottom to the top, like the baseplate, make it large enough to accommodate your phone's weight so it doesn’t become top heavy.

Make a screw hole (another piece on tinkercad you’d have to get), and size it to your desired size of your structure.

Make a holder for your phone, this can be done by measuring your desired phone of choice, getting its width, then adding it to the holder.

Add a rod with a screw on the back so it can go into the screw hole, this piece can make it easier for the holder to stay in place and not fall out.

After you made your holder, turn the platform over to the side, with the holder in front of it.

Make an STL file and upload it to your 3D printer.

After waiting a few hours, take it out of the printer, then assemble by putting the screw into the holder, and test and see if the phone fits.
