Celebration Fruit Pizza

Berry-topped fruit pizza is the perfect go-to dessert for summer celebrations and parties! It's simple, fresh, refreshing, and colorful--elegant enough for a dinner party, yet simple enough for a quick weeknight dessert. So Celebrate. With a beautiful fruit pizza.

Supplies

SUGAR COOKIE CRUST

  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

FILLING

  • 12 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar

FRESH FRUIT TOPPING

  • 4 cups Assorted fresh fruit

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • Electric mixer
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula
  • 12" pizza pan
  • Rolling Pin
  • Oven
  • Medium mixing bowl

Make the Crust

In a mixing bowl, cream together:

  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Beat in:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract

In a medium bowl, combine:

  • 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture.

Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.

Place dough on an ungreased 12" pizza pan. Roll and press dough to fit pan, building up edges slightly.

Bake crust at 350 degrees for 18-22 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Remove from the oven to cool completely.

Make the Filling

In a medium mixing bowl, combine:

  • 12 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 c. confectioners' sugar

Beat until smooth.

Spread over cooled crust.

Top With Fruit

Arrange fruit over filling.

Refrigerate until serving.

Cut fruit pizza into wedges.

Yield: 12-16 servings.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
