Caveman Bread

It is so easy, even a caveman can do it.

After a year of trying out different methods and ingredients I finally developed an easy bread I can make many times a week.

Ingredients:

- 3 cups of bread flour
- 1 cup of water
- 1 packet of yeast
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of sugar (I used turbinado)
- 1 teaspoon of salt

Put your oven on for 3 minutes. Shut it off.

Oil and flour the pan you intend to bake your bread into.

Put the pan in the oven to warm up.

For the loaf:

In a bowl whisk together the flour, yeast, salt and sugar. Warm the water in the microwave for 20 seconds. Add the water and olive oil to the flour mix.
Now mix it all until you have a nice little ball of dough.

My 11 year old kneads the dough. He enjoys 10 minutes of boxing and Tae Kwon Do practice and the dough gets a lovely consistency.

Once the dough is ready, put it into the warm baking pan. Cover the baking pan with moist towel. In the oven it goes to rise. There will be no punch down or reshaping of the loaf as other breads require. It takes about 3 hours on a luke warm oven for it to rise fully.

Remove the bread from the oven. Turn the oven on to 350 degrees and bake it for 30 minutes.

There you have it! quick, painless, no fuss fresh bread. I make at least 3 loaves a week.
This bread is great for toast, grilled cheese or dipped in soup.  It gets eaten fast.
