Catfishing
Catfishing is fun! so I wanted to share how I do it.
Supplies
Medium circle hooks
Minnows
Catfish leader
Strong fishing pole
Flashlight
Prep Your Pole
Tie the leader to your pole with the strongest knot you got. Attach your hook (if not already attached). Cut your minnow in half ( I also like small sunfish ) and put both pieces on the hook.
Casting
Tip: rivers with small rocks and not many bushes in them are best because you are less likely to get stuck.
Wait till dusk, you will have better luck. Put that leader as far out as you can get it.
Waiting
Set drag on low and prop up pole so that you can see when the tip moves. Wait for movement, when the tip pulls
and then looses slack start tightening the drag then wait until it pulls again and set the hook.
Bringing It In
Bring it in swiftly. When you land him try to avoid touching its dorsal and pectoral fins because they have spines. DO NOT put on a clip stringer, just use a string one.
Ending
Filet it (or them) and fry it (or them) up. Enjoy!
