A bendable spiky cat toy ball.

WARNING: Please print this using TPU filament! While other materials might print it, the spikes won't hold up properly, and you don't want your lovely friend ingesting sharp plastic shards. So, I must stress again: TPU FILAMENT ONLY!!

This is a super cool cat toy ball featuring soft, flexible spikes. No supports are needed as long as your printer can handle 15-degree overhangs. My 3D printers (A1 Mini, A1, P1S) handle it with ease. I've provided two size options:

  1. 44mm (with 2.5mm diameter spikes)
  2. 60mm (with 3.2mm diameter spikes)

I tried making the 60mm ball with 2.5mm diameter spikes, but the results weren't great – the spike tips wobbled too much and didn't print cleanly.

My print profile includes four plates/options: the 44mm ball, the 60mm ball, a whole sphere version designed to be assembled with a pin, and a half-sphere version.

You can print the entire ball and assemble it using the pin, or just print the half-spheres. Cats seem to enjoy playing with both versions!

TIP:

It's recommended to use blue or yellow filament. These are colors that cats can actually see, so they might be more attracted to it!
