First I picked out some pieces of leather I thought would be approximately the right size.
I chose 3 pieces that were close to the size and shape I would need.
I had Ok Kit Kat sit on my work bench for a fitting!

Supplies

Scissors, ruler, spray adhesive, waxed sinew, leather, a leather sewing needle, velcro, some leather strips and a cat collar.

Assembly

The first thing I do is measure all the pieces and square them up. Next I will spray the adhesive on and put them together to dry.
Next a refit just to be sure of a proper fit. Then I will be able to sew the piece's together and place the velcro. Next I sew the cat collar on the leather collar. As you can see it might take Ok Kitty a little bit to get adjusted to the whole idea😾

I have been collecting scrap leather, mostly from jacket's & furniture for years.
For this project I picked a brown couch leather.
Ok Kit Kat is I and my husband's lovable tomcat. He was abandoned as a tiny little thing, when fortunately for all of us he found us🥰

Cutting to Size

I needed to cut 7/8th of a inch off the waist band, so I got my ruler, marked the leather and cut to the size I thought would be most helpful for this project.

Final Fitting😸

Now all I need to do is the final fit, maybe make a few adjustments, and Ok Kit Kat will be styling outside.
