The Halloween season has rolled around, and people are ready to start getting festive and decorating for the holiday! One of the most popular ways to do this is by carving a pumpkin and giving it a face, whether it be, funny, scary, or whatever emotion you choose! One of the downsides of this is that there is a huge mess that comes with carving a physical pumpkin, including going out to purchase one or taking out the innards. This can admittedly get super messy and isn't very effective for getting festive, especially in a group setting where it's just not ideal buying multiple pumpkins for everyone. An easy solution to this carving pumpkins on Tinkercad! It's super easy to do and has no mess attached to it! So join me on this spooky adventure as I show you how to easily carve a pumpkin on Tinkercad!

Supplies

For this project, all you'll need is a laptop that can run Tinkercad and a Tinkercad account, which is free and easy to sign up for!

In order to carve a pumpkin, you're gonna need a pumpkin! If you'd like to construct your own pumpkin, follow the quick and easy steps in the tutorial below!

Now that you've got your pumpkin, it's time to make a face for it! Pull out the scribble tool and draw whatever your heart desires! You can go with a plain face, sunglasses, or even a scary grin!

P.S. If you want to be able to sketch a bit better, consider using mobile device like an iPad so a finger or stylus can be used to more accurately sketch your idea!

Etch the Face Into the Pumpkin!

Now, take the face that you've made with the scribble tool and turn it into a hole. Align the hole with the middle of the pumpkin, but make sure it doesn't extend all the way through, just enough for you to group the hole with the pumpkin so that it only goes through one face of the pumpkin.

You're Done!
