Cardboard Military/Combat Knife

Hi guys:). This instructable will show you how to make a cardboard military/combat knife . I know that there are more impressive cardboard weapons out there but I thought I would make something a bit more simple. This is my first instructable so please bear with me. Feel free to leave comments and any constructive criticism about the instructable would help. Thanks !!!!
Material

To make this cardboard knife you will need : cardboard(obviously)-- pencil(and a rubber)/marker--scissors/Stanley knife--ruler--glue--tape
First Cut Out: Blade

In this step you will be making your first cut-out. Firstly you need to draw a square for your blade in accordance to how long and wide you want it. I copied the blade from a Kabar knife with a length of 7'' and a width of 1.8''. When your finished tracing, cut it out. Make sure you have the end bit. DO NOT USE THIS FIRST CUT-OUT IN THE FINAL PRODUCT. You will use this first cut-out to make more identical pieces and if you want to make another knife you will have the pieces ready.
First Cut-out: Handle

I copied the handle from the knife shown. Draw a square like you did for the blade and use it as a guideline. My handle was 4.14'' in length. Try and match the way it curves from the pic and use the square to help. When your finished tracing, cut it out. DO NOT USE THIS FIRST CUT-OUT IN THE FINAL PRODUCT. You will use this first cut-out to make more identical pieces and if you want to make another knife you will have the pieces ready.
More Pieces!!!!

Now trace more pieces using your first cut-outs. Put your cut-out onto cardboard and trace around it to make identical pieces. Make 2 more handles and 2 more blades
Putting Them Together

Get your 2 blades and tape the end parts together. Then using glue stick the rest of it together. For the handles put a a skinny pice of cardboard that is 3/4 of the length of the handles in between then tape them together. There should be a gap at the top as shown. The the end part of the blade should be able to fit into the gap in the handle. I didn't glue the blade to the inside so I can take it out when I want but you can glue it if you want
Finishing Touches
Luckily the cardboard I used was already silver so I left it like that but can paint or spray paint the knife if you want. Trim the edge of any unwanted pieces that are sticking out. I used black tape for the handle but I'm guessing other colours ( or colors if your American ) would work. I hope you enjoyed this instructable and as I said before please leave comments as it always helps to know what you guys think. Bye :):):):)
