Cardboard Frame

I made this frame with cardboard, black cardboard and silicone. I will show you how to make it.

Mark the silhouette of your drawing on the cardboard. Then decide the width you want for your frame, my frame will be 2 cm wide, so you have to mark 1.5 cm on the outside and 5 mm inside, the 5 mm inside is to hold the drawing and not come out.

Marca la silueta de tu dibujo en el cartón. Después decide el ancho que quieres para tu marco, mi marco tendrá de ancho 2 cm, así que hay que marcar 1,5 cm por fuera y 5 mm por dentro, los 5 mm por dentro son para que se sujete el dibujo y no se salga.

Cut, draw the silhouette and cut another one like it.

Corta, dibuja la silueta y corta otro igual.

Glue the two together to make it stronger. If you have a double layer cardboard there is no need to make two, one is fine.

Pega los dos para hacerlo más resistente. Si tienes un cartón de doble capa no hace falta hacer dos, con uno está bien.

When it is dry, cover it with cardboard. First I put some rectangles on the inside to make sure the cardboard doesn't show through. Then I put the cardboard on and glued it directly.

Cuando esté seco fórralo con cartulina. Primero puse unos rectángulos por dentro para asegurarme de que no se vea el cartón. Después puse la cartulina y la pegué directamente.

Cut the cardboard so that it does not overlap the cardboard.

Cortar la cartulina para que no sobrepase el cartón.

Cut the corners in this way for a good finish. Fold inwards leaning on the table and glue.

Cortar las esquinas de esta forma para un buen acabado. Doblar hacia dentro apoyándote en la mesa y pegar.

Cut on the inside to fold again and glue the cardboard on the inside.

Cortar por dentro para volver a doblar y pegar la cartulina por la parte interior.

Glue a piece of cardboard on a square of cardboard that is a little smaller than the frame. And glue this cardboard on the back, leaving the cardboard facing backwards. It is glued by pouring the silicone from the side, not from the inside. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU LEAVE ONE SIDE UNGLUED SO THAT YOU CAN PUT THE DRAWING IN.

Pega una cartulina en un cuadrado de cartón que sea un poco más pequeño que el marco. Y pega este cartón por la parte de atrás, dejando la cartulina hacia atrás. Se pega echando la silicona por el lado, no por dentro. ES IMPORTANTE QUE DEJES UN LADO SIN PEGAR PARA PODER METER EL DIBUJO.

Cut out a piece of cardboard like this one and glue it right in the center. On the part that is not glued (the upper part)

Recorta una pieza de cartón como esta y pégala justo en el centro. En la parte que está sin pegar (la parte de arriba)

For a crystal-like finish I put this acetate sheet, I cut it to the same size as the drawing. The only thing left to do is to insert the two things through the slit.

Para un acabado como cristal le puse esta hoja de acetato, la recorté a la misma medida que el dibujo. Solo queda introducir las dos cosas por la rendija.
