Cardboard 3D Endless Maze

Hello makers.

In this project i make big size 3D maze out of cardboard box.

Selecting cardboard for light weight material and giving flexibility to cut and stick anywhere.

This 3d maze is infinite maze which is endless and ball is always flip between side of cube.

each side of maze is connected to other maze.

Supplies

1> cardboard box & A4 size blank papers

2> Paper cutter or scissor

3> plastic tape

4> Fevicoal liquid adhesive

5> OHP sheet x 6 pieces

Draw Maze Geometry on Paper

  • In first step we take 6 A4 size white papers for draw maze geometry on it.
  • We use 150x150mm dimension of maze.
  • First we draw 150 x 150 mm square on paper.
  • Cut that square from A4 size page.
  • Make total 6 cutting os same size.
  • Now we have 6 same size papers.
  • We need to draw maze on each papers where all maze ends meet eachothers and make endless maze.
  • You can make design as per your imagination or use reference from internet.

  • In second step we cut cardboard in size of paper(150x150mm).
  • Cut 6 piece of same size .
  • Use Fevicoal liquid adhesive to stick previously cut and drawn papers on cardboard.
  • Now we have 6 side of maze on paper and stick with cardboard.

  • As per drawing we need to make wall of maze to give a path of small ball to hover inside maze.
  • It takes 200 to 300 pieces for making wall of maze.
  • Stick all pieces as per cutting size draw on paper and stick it with adhesive .
  • After stick small part our 2D maze is ready.

  • For making 3D, we need to stick all 6 side of maze together.
  • First we  use tapes to stick 3 side of wall in position and use liquid adhesive to pour in between gapes.
  • Adhesive takes time to dry.
  • Repeat this process for join all side of wall.
  • After whole proces we have 3D maze cube ready .

  • We use OHP plastic transparent sheet to cover all side of cube to keep ball inside of maze .
  • Cut OHP sheet in 150x150 mm and us liquid adhesive to stick on each side of cube.
  • After drying, we r ready to play with out 3D Endless Maze.
