The Problem

The doors on motorhomes and caravans are similar to interior doors in a home, if there is a strong wind they will blow open or closed. The doors will slam which can prove frustrating when camping and going in/out of the camper.

The Solution

X8R have designed this useful door holder which can attach to the main body of any caravan or motorhome.

The main body is made from 5mm thick acrylic which will not snap. The body has four cut-outs to hold the bungee cord when not in use.

It also features two of the strongest suction cups on the market. They can hold 14lb of force, protecting your door from slamming in strong winds. The suction cups are made from soft plastic which will not damage your motorhome, yet they will not crack during the hot/cold weather or yellow in the sun. The suction cups also have plastic tabs for easy removal.

The bungee cord is heavy duty, stretchy and can easily be cut down if required.

The X8R unit also features a unique push-latch hook on the end of the bungee cord. Unlike other hooks this can be safely secured to the bungee cord itself or to handles, latches, locks or any other hookable surface on the camper. Other styles of hooks easily come undone and can cause additional frustration. The X8R hook is made of plastic and will not scratch the paintwork of your camper.

Vehicles Affected

This is a universal item designed to fit all caravans and motorhomes. Please ensure your vehicle has a flat and smooth surface to adhere the suction cups to.

Secure the push-latch hook onto a hookable surface on your motorhome, this could be an interior or exterior door handle, lock pin/mechanism or somewhere else. You can hook it back onto the bungee cord is the handle is too large to fit into the hook.

Press the bracket onto a smooth surface. Ensure there is enough pressure on the bungee cord to keep the door open, but not too much pressure that it puts strain on the hinges or the suction cups.

If you need to shorten the bungee cord this could be done by hooking the cord around the cut-outs in the bracket, alternatively you can cut the bungee cord and re-tie it behind the bracket.

To remove simply lift the tabs on the suction cups, then unhook the bungee cable from the door handle.
