A car headrest pillow is a must-have thing for a car owner and passengers. All drivers grow tired and may suffer neck overstrain, as they have to spend a long while in the seat. There is a solution: make a car headrest pillow and have an easier ride!

The pillow should be placed between the seat itself and the headrest: thus it will keep your neck in a more comfortable posture. It should be fixed with a piece of rubber.

A car headrest pillow may look pretty simple or like an oval or quadrangle. However, it will be great if it resembles an emblem – the Batman, for example.

You will need a piece of soft black cloth, black thread, rubber and Velcro.

Find the Batman logo and print it on paper. Also, you can draw it in pencil. Then cut it out.

Arrange the black fabric in two layers, face inside. Thus you will cut out both sides of your future headrest pillow. Place the pieces on the cloth and cut out the logo in such a way as to leave a 0.5 cm margin. I used fleece – a soft and pleasant to the touch kind of material, which does not irritate skin (a one-hour ride to another city proved that).

Sew it along the contour line using a sewing machine. Leave the lower part open. Turn the piece inside out, so that the seams remain inside. Stuff the pillow with hollowfiber.

Hollowfiber is hypoallergenic, safe and convenient: it retains shape very well. Please, stuff your pillow properly. Failure to use enough hollowfiber will result in empty ends and your pillow losing shape. Sow the piece of rubber to the pillow.

Sew Velcro to the ends of the rubber piece. Now you can easily fix the pillow on the headrest.

I like the way it looks, and it matches the car’s interior. It sits firmly and won’t slip off.
