Captain Stool
I thought that if I used Captain America's shield to make a bench, it should be beautiful and practical.
I need a stool in the living room.
Supplies
- Material:45mmx45mm angle pieces (Douglas fir)
- 18mm thickness plate appropriate amount (spruce)
The Chair Legs
I use tenon joints to design the legs of the chair,
First, make two identical wooden strips, and then lap them with a cross
Because the chair foot and the ground inclined at 8 degrees, I made several jigs, which will be safer to operate.
- A jig of 8 degrees for the table saw sled.
- A jig of 8 degrees for the side.
- Two jigs of 8 degrees for the back. The left and right two clamps the workpiece.
Glue all together.
The Seat Cushion
I drill a hole on the board and do not penetrate it.
Then use a special jig to cut out a circle on the table saw.
This jig is a sled with an iron cylinder at the circle center.
Then keep cutting until it becomes a circle.
It is also possible to use a router to do.
Drill 4 holes for dowels
Paint with white, red, and blue.
Before assembling it, play shield with kids.
Finish
Experience
Although the surface of the spray paint dries quickly and the hands are not sticky to the touch, the inside has not yet hardened. Don't rush to deal with other actions, be patient to wait.
Due to impatient to combine the seat cushion and chair legs.
There are traces of the clamp pressed on the seat cushion.
