This is a simple candy dispensing machine for when you want to mess around with some arduino. It does not take a lot of time and is some simple fun with cardboard. For this instructable we rebuilt the whole thing in about 20 minutes.

Supplies

For your supplies you won't need a whole lot. Just either a box or sheet of cardboard, boxcutter, duck tape, and some sort of container to hold your candy.

The Basket

First cut out a slit in the bottom of either your box or the box shape you make with cardboard. As you can see in the picture we went with just a box shape. Next take a strip of cardboard and wrap that around to make your catch basket.

The Slide Down

Take a longer strip of cardboard and bend to sides upward. Take that strip and place it so the end goes into the basket and the top can catch your candy.

The Candy Container

Take another big piece of cardboard and cut a circle so that whatever container can fit snug. Take your container and cut a hole that the candy can fall out of. Then place the card board piece at the top of the box.

The Circle Piece

Create a cardboard circle that will sit inside your container with a section missing so the candy can fall out. Attach your servo motor to this piece so that when you upload the code it will turn the section over the hole in the container.

Uploading the Code

Upload this code file to your ardiuno board along with wiring you board to this tinkercad image.
