Candy Cane Chocolate Heart Pops!
Here's a Christmas treat that was actually pretty fast.
Candy Cane Chocolate Heart Pops!
About 20 minutes, and fun to do with slightly older kids!
(my assistant was 8)
Also makes a great gift for neighbors!

You Will Need...
Mini candy canes!
(I got a box of 30 at the dollar store)
Sucker sticks...mine are 8"
(4" would have been fine, but I was all out!)
Baking sheet
Chocolate chips or melting chocolate
Plastic bags to fit suckers when done
Twine or twist tie to secure it

Unwrap the Candy Canes!
Arrange the unwrapped canes in heart shape with stick in center.
Bake in oven 350* for about 2 minutes.
The canes will soften just enough to pinch them together!

Give Them a Pinch!
While they are warm, pinch the candy together
at the top of the stick and at the bottom of the heart shape.
Once the candy has cooled, it will hold together!
(it cools pretty quick!)
It's super cute just like this!

Chocolate Filled Centers!
Then I used a plastic tray
(wax paper would probably work better)
Pour a couple spoonfuls of melted
chocolate into the centers of the hearts!
(You could then decorate with sprinkles or whatever you like)
Then let the chocolate cool and set up completely.

Heart Shaped Success!
I had one casualty...out of 15. Not bad, I quick destroyed the fail, and it was good!
I stamped a tag with a Stampin up stamp set "Festive and Fun", Have a Holly Jolly Christmas.
Colored with copic markers.
Wrap and tie!
(reasons to love bakers twine!)
Super sweet gift bouquet!
They'd be great for Valentine's too!
So if you don't get around to them this month...favorite this so you'll remember! :)
Thanks for viewing, hope you enjoyed it!
