Candle Decoration
This is a Halloween candle decoration greatly used as a centerpiece. This is a quick, cheap and easy diy project that can turn out any way you prefer. You can have your pool noodles cut to vary in size or spray paint them to vary in color. You can also decorate your project afterwards however you’d like, the options for your creativity are endless.
Supplies
- Pool noodles
- Hot glue
- Cardboard
- Small LED candles
- Spray paint (optional)
- Add on Decorations (optional)
Once you have your pool noodles (doesn’t matter what color), cut each noodle to whatever size you prefer. A heated mechanism would work best but you could make anything work.
Get your hot glue gun and let it heat up. When ready, start by adding glue dripping effects to the top of your pool noodle to make a more realistic wax dripping effect.
Use your hot glue gun again to glue your pool noodles together in whatever arrange you desire and think looks best.
Once all the glue is dry, you need to make a base. I simply cut out a circular piece of cardboard and spray painted it black but wood would be a great option too.
(optional)
If your pool noodles aren’t the color you’d like, the next step would be to take some spray paint of your choice and spray paint your pool noodles and let dry.
When all the spray paints dry, glue your pool noodles to your base.
(optional)
This is the final step. Once everything’s dry and completed to your liking, this is when you add your candles to the top. If your small, fake LED candles don't fit properly, you can make a contraption in order to open up the inside some more. I did have this problem with the candles we purchased but I connected a forsner bit to the end of a drill. This is also when you can add and finalize extra decorations of your choice to make your diy project pop and look more interesting, or you can keep it simple like mine above.
