Prep time 15 minutes

Cook time 5 to 6 hours

Pour the vegetable oil into the bottom of a slow cooker.

Place the pork roast into the slow cooker; if you use a boneless roast like ribeye or tenderloin, you might want to cut the pork roast across the grain to make the pulled pork strips shorter.

Pour in the Maple syrup and chicken broth.

Stir in the chili powder, thyme, cumin, and black pepper.

Dice and add the green onions, garlic, tomato, celery, mushrooms, and bell peppers.

Cover and cook on High until the roast shreds easily with a fork, 5 to 6 hours.

Canadian Pulled Pork on Tortillas

This pulled pork recipe goes great on tortillas.

Place the tortilla on a plate.

Making sure to place the pulled pork from the top of the tortilla to the center of the tortilla; spoon the pulled pork onto the untoasted tortillas just as you do to the Kaiser buns.

Sprinkle with the grated cheese, shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, and sliced onion.

Fold the bottom of the tortilla up first then the two sides over the top.

Once folded you can serve as is or braze the tortillas to your liking.
