Camera Slider Under $40!
Hey Everyone, I'm an electronics Enthusiast and a Youtuber. So I keep on upgrading my camera gear but when it comes to camera sliders they are way too expensive but that doesn't stop me from making one. So in this tutorial, I'll show you how you can make your very own camera slider only for 40 USD! so without any more further ado, Lets Built it!
Supplies
Note: I know many people will get upset, Since you need to buy STL files for 3D printing, but I have kept Charges only $2. Please Consider supporting my work!

3D Printing!
The very first step is to 3D print all the required parts. Since we are using 2040 Aluminum Extrusion of length 1000mm. Its smallest V slot channel is 20mm and other is 40mm in dimension. Also, V slot wheels are of diameter 24mm but 2mm goes in the channel so the effective diameter is 20mm.
So Keeping these things in mind I designed the gantry plate with a hot shoe mount both of them were 3D printed and attached later using Super Glue.
Note: If you don't have access to a 3D printer. You can always make all these parts using MDF so don't hesitate to make this project.
Assembling of Gantry Plate
Once 3D printing was done and glued the hot shoe mount with plate, Use four 25mm long M5 Bolts along with two washers, one Nut, one V slot wheel and finally one more Nut. Repeat the process for all four Wheels
Camera Mounting
For mounting the camera you can use Hot shoe mount. Just slide it in the gantry plate and you can mount your camera on top of it. And there you go you have a working camera slider now!
The only problem with this assembly is that gantry plate can easily slide off from the edges and slider does not have its legs so we need to make them.
Legs for Slider
Once again I designed these Legs in Fusion 360 exported the STL files and 3D printed them once that was done I used 10mm Long M5 Bolts along with T Nuts and mounted the legs on all the four sides. After with Slider was ready to roll.
Tripod Mounting
But we generally use such sliders on tripods so once again I designed mounting bracket for tripod 3D printed them and mounted the plates on each side of the slider.
Then I mounted the sider on tripods and this project was complete now you can take cinematic sliding shots!
