Camera Modification (CGO2-GB)

I had a hard crash a few weeks ago.

The drone (350 QX3) held up perfectly.
The camera on the other hand kinda poped appart.

I had to go on the hunt for 3 of the vibration dampeners.

This is a simple fix to keep the dampeners in place in event of a crash.

Cut Off the Old

Cut off the stock vibration dampeners.
This camera comes with 2, one at opposite corners.

Zip Tie Time

Slip zip ties threw all 4 holes of the dampeners.

Put another zip tie over the one you just put threw the dampener.

be sure to leave plenty of slack when slipping the second zip tie down.

I would suggest doing this while alowing the camera to hang under its own weight.

the zip tie should have plenty of room to move up and down, but not enough to get in the way of the gimbal or the cameras operation.

Snip and Complete

Cut off the loose ends and check to make sure everything is functional.

Now if you crash you shouldn't have a man hunt for vibration dampeners that are up to 50 feet from the crash site.
