Call Notification
This device comes in handy for those who have hearing disabilities. Growing up, I had a grandfather who was deaf, but he could still hear some sounds if it is close enough to his ears thanks to a earpiece. But we always had a problem, he could answer the phone, but he did not know that the phone was ringing in the first place. So if there was a notification and if we used sight to notify him rather than sound, he could answer the phone.
Though targeted for deaf people to use, one can also use it if they turned on do not disturb, they will not hear the ragstone when someone is calling them, so if there is a flashing light, they will see it and be able to answer the call!
Supplies
- 2 resistors
- 1 led light
- 1 heat sensitive resistor
- 1 breadboard
- 1 Arduino Leonardo
- 5 wires
- 6 alligator clips
- cardboard
- hot glue gun
Circuit Assembly
Assemble the circuit according to the picture
The alligator clip is equivalent to three alligator clips
Make the Casing - Cut and Assemble Small Parts
- cut a 21cm x 17cm rectangle from a cardboard
- fold the 5.5cm on both sides of the 21cm side
- cut a 2cm x 2cm square according to the heat resistor
- cut three 17cm x 5cm rectangle from a cardboard
- fold the three rectangle into a cylinder and secure it using a hot glue gun
Make the Casing - Assembly
- hot glue the cylinders under the bigger piece of cardboard for support
- Put the casing onto the breadboard, making sure the hole is on the heat resistor
