Cabinet Hardware Makeover

I hated the gold and white cabinet pulls that were put EVERYWHERE in my house. I had priced out the cost of replacing them on several occasions. To replace the 33 pulls in my kitchen alone was going to be over $200. To replace all of them would be over $1000! I found a DIY makeover for under $50 and I could do every pull in my house.
Materials

- Sharpie marker
- Rust-oleum Black Hammered paint and primer in one
- Painters tape
- Tile gloss sealant
Painting

Remove all the hardware from your cabinets and wash.
Apply painters tape around the porcelain area of the pull.
Paint with Rust-oleum Hammered paint and primer. You may need to do more than one coat.
When paint is dry remove all the tape.
Colouring

Colour a pattern on the porcelain with a sharpie marker in the colour of your choice. You may need to do a couple of layers. Take care as the "permanent colour" can easily wipe off from the porcelain. My pattern is of small circles.
Baking

When you are satisfied with your pattern, place the hardware on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 45 min. Let cool before touching or putting back on the cabinets.
Finish

When the pull has cooled seal with a ceramic sealant and let dry. This step is mandatory as the colour will eventually rub off without the sealant. I made this mistake and had to redo some of mine a year later.
Remount all your pulls and finally enjoy how they look! Mine turned out to look like blue marble and I love them!
