The CP-S1, often known as a "Capsule" droid, was made popular during the early days of hyperspace exploration by Jedi pathfinder teams and independent frontiers-beings alike. Standing approximately waist high to most humanoids the Capsule droid became known for the plethora of features in its compact design, including a welding arm, scomp-link, onboard telemetry package, and the latest astronomical data. Not to be stopped by the harsh wilds found on the edge of the galaxy, the Capsule line was built off of a individually suspended tripod wheel base for extra durability and mobility. When space was limited but an engineer was irreplaceable, the CP-S1 was well worth every credit.

Star Wars has captured my imagination and urged me to explore as long as I can remember. As a teen I was enthralled by the Old Republic stories of characters adventuring into the unknown, now as an adult the High Republic has reignited that wanderlust with its pathfinder teams and unknown worlds. For this contest I wanted to design a droid that was as much a companion out on the edge as it was a ship mechanic or navigational droid. I wanted it to be reminiscent of the early T-series droids while still paying homage to our favorite blue and white friend. Above all, it had to be compact, practical, and unique.

I have absolutely fallen in love this this little guy while designing him, I hope you all do too.
