A very quick and simple coin vortex project.

Supplies

7"-10" funnel

Plastic jar/container

3D printed launch ramp (.STL file provided)

Utility knife

JB Weld and/or hot glue gun

7" - 10" plastic funnel

3D printed coin launch/ramp (.STL file supplied)

TRIM FUNNEL

Using a utility knife, remove the tab and lower two thirds of the spout - making sure that coins can fall through easily.

HOLE IN THE LID

Cut a hole in the center of the lid large enough to seat the funnel firmly.

(option - remove the lid and just let the funnel rest in the mouth of the jar)

EPOXY COIN LAUNCH TO FUNNEL

Using JB Weld, epoxy the 3D printed coin launch/ramp to the edge of the funnel.

Make sure coin exit from ramp is parallel and below the rim of the funnel.

GLUE FUNNEL TO LID

Fix the funnel to the jar lid with the hot glue gun.

Run a few coins through the vortex as your holding the funnel in place while the glue cools - making sure that the funnel is level and that the coins are circling properly.
