Hello my name is Jonathan and I attend Sage Oak Charter School.

I will be showing you how to Model and CNC a Violin

Supplies

  • Fusion 360
  • CNC Router
  • Drill Bits
  • Materials (Wood, Acrylic,Metal ect.)

Make the Base

  1. Press-"Insert SVG
  2. Insert your SVG
  3. Extrude the SVG
  4. Convert the Body to a Component
  5. Duplicate the Component

  1. Create a Sketch on a Violin Base
  2. Make an Offset of the Outside
  3. Finish the Sketch
  4. Extrude the Sketch

Make the Connectors

  1. Hide the Violin Base's
  2. Make a Sketch on the Outline
  3. Make Rectangles on the Outline
  4. Make a Offset of the Rectangles
  5. Finish Sketch
  6. Move the Other Base on the Top
  7. Hide the Base
  8. Extrude the Pegs
  9. Extrude the Pegs Plus the Offset in Cut mode.
  10. Flip the Top and Lay it Flat.

Set Up the CNC G-Code

  1. Go to the Manufacturing Tab
  2. Make a Setup
  3. Use Adaptive Clearing
  4. Pick Tool
  5. Press Ok
  6. Press Post Process
  7. Pick Your Machine
  8. Export File

Conclusion

I was not able to make the model because I had no access to a CNC router

Here is the STEP file if you want to tinker with it.
