CHOCOLATE CARAMEL TRUFFLES
Indulge in a guilt-free treat with these healthy chocolate caramel truffles! These bite-sized delights are naturally sweetened and nutritious, with wholesome ingredients like dates, peanut butter, and dark chocolate. Perfect for gifting or indulging, they’re luxurious dessert that melts in your mouth with every bite.
Supplies
- 200g Deseeded Dates
- 50g Peanut Butter
- 1/4 Table Spoon Salt
- 200g Dark Chocolate
- 20g White Chocolate (optional)
- Chocolate Sprinkle (optional)
MAKE THE DATE CARAMEL:
- Soak the dates in warm water for 15 minutes to soften. Drain and pat dry.
- Blend the dates, and peanut butter, and add a bit of salt in a food processor until smooth and creamy.
PREPARE THE CHOCOLATE COATING:
- Melt the dark chocolate in a microwave or double boiler until smooth. Stir well.
MAKE TRUFFLES:
- Add melted chocolate to any mold, remove the excess chocolate, clean the top, and set it in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- Take the chocolate cavity out of the freezer after 5 minutes, pipe in the date caramel in the chocolate cavity, and top it off with a little more chocolate to cover it completely.
- Refrigerate the truffles for 20-30 minutes or until the chocolate completely sets.
- Unmould, and decorate truffles with melted white chocolate and chocolate sprinkle(optional).
- Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
