CAN TAB EARRINGS

every outfit is incomplete without a pair of earrings. and isn't it wonderful to complement your dress with a beautiful pair of earrings made by you and that too from waste??

so i am sure that everyone likes to drink soft drinks cans and later we just throw them in the dustbin. so how about instead of throwing them out, use them to make something wonderful!!! so whenever you use a can, before throwing them just remove the can tab.

because today we will see how to make earrings out of this can tab to complement with your dress.

so grab your crochet needles and yarn and get ready....

0.95 mm crochet hook

this is the basic design of how we are going to make the pair of earring.

you have to crochet around the can tab in order to make it.

we are using 3 types of crochet stitches:

1. chain

2. single crochet

3. double crochet

tie a knot to the can tab.

then begin with single crochet.

insert hook in the hole of the can tab, yarn over, draw yarn through stitch, [yarn over, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook] 3 times.

cover the whole can tab.

next 2 line will be with double crochet stitch.

Yarn over, insert hook in the center of next chain, yarn over, draw yarn through stitch, yarn over, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, draw yarn through 2 loops on hook.

do this stitch over only half of the can tab.

the next line will be combination of two stitches.

1. single crochet and

2 chain : Step 1: Hold the crochet hook, now with its slip knot, in your right hand and wrap the yarn around your left hand. ...

Step 2: Bring the yarn over the crochet hook from back to front and hook it .

double crochet once then crochet three chains, repeat this till you complete the half of can tab.

then continue single crochet on the other half and when you reach the mid point of the tab crochet 3 chains and then again continue to single crochet.
