Butterfly Mason Jar Lamp

In this quick tutorial, I will show you how to recreate these lovely, (and very cheap!) Butterfly Mason Jar Lamps!

Let's start with the materials, you will need-

• A Mason Jar
• Decorative Floral Moss
• Decorative Natural Raffia
• Decorative Garland
• Butterfly Decorations
• Battery Powered Candle
• Scissors

All of these materials can be found at a local craft-store, or dollar store!

When opening your bag of Floral Moss, most of it will be bundled up. You will need to gently rip out the amount you would like to add in, and press it down to the bottom of the jar. To reach the lower places, you can use a pencil or pen to really push it in the corners.

When your moss is in place, you will now need your battery operated candle. There will be a small plastic chip under the handle, you will slide that out and click to turn it on. Once it is on, you will adjust it inside of the jar until you are happy with it.

Adding the butterfly is very easy, you will take it into your hand, and simply adjust it until you're happy with it. If you have a small wire sprouting from the back of it, you can either cut it off, or use it to stand against the jar.

Next, you will need your garland and scissors. Take as much as you need (i used about 6 inches) and cut it off from the rest of it. Take the garland you've cut and place it into the jar, however you'd like.

Just like the garland, you will need your scissors for this one. Take the raffia away from it's bundle, and cut off as much as you'd like to be inserted into the jar. When you're ready, simply take the strands and sort them accordingly.

Once you have completed adding your items to your mason jar, turn out the lights or wait until the night falls to set them up! they look beautiful and add a piece of nature to your home.
