Butter Chicken - Halloween Special

Ingredients


  1. Chicken - 500 g
  2. Yogurt  - 200ml
  3. Chilli Powder - 1 tablespoon
  4. Chat Masala - 1 teaspoon
  5. Kasuri Methi - 1 tablespoon
  6. Black Salt - 1 teaspoon
  7. Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
  8. Cumin Powder - 1 teaspoon
  9. Coriander Powder - 1 teaspoon
  10. Mustard Oil - 3 tablespoon
  11. Butter - 3 tablespoon
  12. Tomato - 4 nos
  13. Onion - 1 no
  14. Cashewnuts - 15 nos
  15. Cream - 10 ml


Method of Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine chicken with all of the ingredients from 2 - 11 for the chicken marinade, let marinate for 30 minutes to an hour (or overnight if time allows).
  • Then boil the above ingredients 12 - 14 and make it a fine paste for later use.
  • Heat oil in a frypan over medium-high heat. When sizzling, add marinated chicken pieces. Fry until browned for only 3 minutes on each side. Set aside and keep warm.
  • Take a pan and add 2 tablespoons of butter and put 2 teaspoons of chopped garlic fry until light golden color then add a little chili powder along with this add the blended gravy to the pan and stir well. Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes while stirring it continuously.
  • Now add the roasted powdered Kasuri methi (fenugreek leaves) and mix it well.
  • Simmer for a minute before adding the grilled chicken to it.
  • Add the chicken with juices back into the pan and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is thick and bubbling. Add water if needed ( based on consistency )
  • Finally, add the cream mix and simmer for 1 minute to make a smooth gravy.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with Butternan, Chapathi, etc.
