This fun yet simple idea can convert a boring bottom bunk into a fun-filled indoor hammock with only a few materials, and it can also be constructed in between four posts or trees.

Supplies needed for this project include a couple jumbo rolls of yarn, 1/4 inch thick steel cable with a loop hole on the end, one five-inch long 9/16 bolt with two small washers and one large washer with a nut, and two 9/16 wrenches or two adjustable wrenches.

First, drill holes through both ends of all four corners on a bunkbed or posts. If using trees, just wrap the cable around them and drill screws underneath to prevent the steel cable from sliding down. Then, thread the wire rope through the pre-drilled hole and tighten it down as shown above.

Next, make certain the cable is tought before you begin weaving the yarn. Tie the string to the cable on every pass, making sure it's tight.

After finishing step 2, begin lacing yarn perpindicular to the already laced string. If you want extra rigidity, weave the string diagonally.

When complete, it's ready to use. Place a blanket over it for added comfort.
