Needful Things
If you are putting a Tie Fighter together, you will need a little clear glue - super glue is ideal.
If you have very short fingernails, you may need a cocktail stick or bamboo skewer.
Oh, and you'll need a set of parts... CLICK HERE to buy.
What You Get

The fighters come "flat packed", and have a protective film to stop the acrylic being scratched.
The parts should lift straight out of the surrounding acrylic. If they do not, a gentle flex is all they need.
Be careful not to snap the X-Wing's guns!
Preparation

The first thing to do is remove the protective film.
Start with the engraved side - each patch of film can be scratched off with a fingernail. Pick the edge and peel the rest off.
If you do not have long-enough fingernails, use a cocktail stick or sharp bamboo skewer to lift the edges.
You can use a blade to lift the film, but be very careful not to scratch the acrylic.
Assemble the X-Wing

The wings slot together first.
The notches are a snug fit, so line them up carefully.
The large notch in the fuselage fits over the centre of the wings. Again, it is a snug fit, and no glue should be needed.
If you are planning on suspending your X-Wing, you might find it easier to thread cotton through the hanging-hole before you fit the fuselage to the wings.
Assemble the Tie Fighter

Assembling the Tie Fighter is easy - the wing panels fit on the pegs of the body, and are held with a little superglue.
Before you apply the glue, though, test-fit the wing panels. You will probably find they fit best with the engraved surface facing inwards.
